Kortrijk 1302

On 11 July 1302 the Battle of the Golden Spurs was fought out on the Groeningekouter in Kortrijk. Kortrijk 1302 is devoted to that battle, which took place during the Franco-Flemish war. You can view en touch chain mails, swords and goedendags, you can see the protagonists come back to life and you’ll be able to follow the course of the battle on a gaint scale mode. Furthermore, you will also gain an insight into the causes and consequences of the battle and the role of the parties involved in the conflict. 

Kortrijk 1302 is the ideal place for young and old to relive the Battle of the Golden Spurs. It is an experience museum. The collection is limited but captivating and includes unique pieces. The collection pieces are used to the maximum, together with replicas, a model, reconstructions, images and film. 

The museum is located in the Begijnhofpark and is open Tuesday until Sunday, from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. The admission fee is 4 euros for adults under 26. For adult above 26 is the admission fee 6 euros.
