Ferryboat Visserskaai – Oosteroever

The ferry boat is an ideal short romantic experience, it is a free ferry between the center and the east shore. It is not only very cozy and romantic, but also a very fast and easy mobility feature. You cross east shore and west shore in a safe way. The ferries can be used from 7:45 am to 6:05 pm.

There are 3 ferries, each with its own name: Roger Raveel, The Red Square on the Sea and the newest ferry which is fully electric “Raveel meets Ensor “. The boats are very colorful and were designed by Roger Raveel, a Belgian artist. Most of the names were also chosen by him.

The ferry boat can carry a maximum of 40 people and 15 bicycles. Each boat is wheelchair accessible. The newest ferry “Raveel meets Ensor” can carry up to 80 people and 30 bicycles. The boats are also eco-conscious and run on low-sulfur fuel and the rooms are heated by recuperation from the engines.
